Directly applied load can be performed within a closed control feedback loop and produces uniquely accurate measurements for the actual surface. This feature reacts quickly and accurately from scratch and is crucial for wear or testing when fractures occur during indentation. Actual load measurement ensures accuracy during fast DMA testing and ensures that the surface to which the load is applied is automatically detected as a sensitive surface.
